EW equipment for the new threats needs to meet much better performance than previous systems. Frequency synthesizers are critical elements in receivers, transmitters, jammers, real-time spectrum measurement, digital RF memory loops, and more. Switching speed, phase noise, and signal purity determine the performance and response time of Electronic Attack and Electronic Protection (EP) systems. In addition, advanced real-time modulation over wide instantaneous BW (IBW) and the ability to support multiple simultaneous targets are essential to address modern system requirements needed to address the new generation of fast frequency hopping radars, swarms of Drones and multiple missiles attacks. Size, weight, and power (SWaP) limitations are dictating reduced size to be able to integrate advanced EW systems in PODS, Drones, and Army Humvees. SOSA 3U VPX becoming the standard for next-generation services packaging and interchangeability.

Uri Yaniv started Elcom Tech in 1997. He served as CEO and CTO until the company acquisition by FEI in 2007, CTO until 2019, and now CTO and GM. Uri led the development of Ultra-Fast Direct Frequency Synthesizer and broadband MW EW/ SIGINT converters for more than 35 Years. Key products include a UFS line of ultra-low phase noise direct MW synthesizers, VPX based EW multi-channel T/R modules, VPX multi-channel signal generator, and SIR4000 microwave digital receiver /SDR. Uri holds a BSEE and MSEE and held multiple presentations at professional conferences.
