Critical wing replacements for the A-10 Thunderbolt II ground-attack jet — a mainstay of operations at Davis-Monthan Air Force Base — are a step closer to continued funding following the approval of a 2020 defense authorization bill by a U.S. Senate committee.
The Senate Armed Services Committee recently approved $132 million in fiscal 2020 funding for the A-10 “Warthog” in its version of the fiscal 2020 National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA), a policy document that generally dictates appropriations.
