Colonel Kurt M. Schendzielos is Director, 7th Air Force, Operations and Plans at Osan Air Base, Republic of Korea. He is responsible for coordinating the operations, training, airspace, ranges and force movement plans of Air Force forces in the Republic of Korea.

Colonel Schendzielos commissioned from the United States Air Force Academy in 1993. He served as an Evaluator Orbital Analyst, Evaluator Space Control Analyst, B-52H Evaluator Electronic Warfare Officer, Bomb Group Executive Officer, Bomb Wing Executive Officer, and Weapons Instructor. He led as an Operations Group Commander, SHAPE Nuclear Operations Branch Chief, Weapons Squadron Commander, 13AF Commander’s Action Group Director, Strategy Plans Team Chief, and Flight Commander. Colonel Schendzielos participated in Operations IRAQI FREEDOM, ENDURING FREEDOM, and ANACONDA. He is a master navigator with over 2,000 hours in the B-52H, T-1, T-34 and T-41. Prior to this assignment, he was Commander, 2d Operations Group, Barksdale Air Force Base, Louisiana.
