Welcome, First-Time Attendees!

Welcome to the 55th Annual AOC International Symposium and Convention – the leading event for electronic warfare, electromagnetic spectrum operations, cyber-electromagnetic activities, and information operations professionals from around the world! In order to help you make the most of your experience, below are some tips to help you arrive prepared, assist you onsite and ensure you have the best experience possible.

The AOC International Symposium and Convention is a three-day event that brings together nearly 2000 professionals from 25 countries spanning industry, military, and government sectors to gather for educational sessions, networking and of course, exposure to a show floor brimming with cutting edge technologies and services.

This year’s theme is "Winning the Electromagnetic Spectrum (EMS) Domain: A Culture and Mind Shift." Subject matter experts will highlight current EMS domain challenges, policy discussions, operational impacts, advantageous technologies, and EMS developmental opportunities – ultimately equipping the warfighter for victory.

Before You Go...

  • Book your hotel with the official AOC housing block. In an effort to provide affordable and convenient lodging, the AOC has negotiated and contracted with the Marriott Marquis Washington, DC as our official host hotel. Click here to book your hotel through our block. 
  • Know what’s included in your registration. The 'All Access Pass' include access to General Sessions, access to all Symposium Sessions Tuesday–Thursday, access to the Welcome Reception; access to the Exhibit Hall Tuesday–Thursday – including access to Innovation Stage programming, lunches and happy hours, First-Time Attendee Orientation, and access to all recorded Keynote Sessions and all briefings as released by the speakers. Registration does not include access to AOC Annual Banquet or Professional Development Courses.
  • Choose your preferred sessions and develop your show floor itinerary. What do you want to accomplish at the AOC International Symposium and Convention? Subject matter experts and influencers from military, government, academia and industry will speak to 24 different topics all around the theme of “Winning the EMS Domain”.  Review the agenda today to identify the sessions that interest you most. When you are not in sessions, plan on visiting the exhibit hall where over 100 companies are displaying their cutting edge technologies and services. Before the show you can search and sort exhibitors by company name, keyword, booth number and more. Log-in to build a personalize list of exhibitors to visit on the show floor. While You’re There...

  • Pick up your badge at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center, Exhibit Hall A Concourse. Be sure to wear your badge at all times during the show as it is your admission ticket to all symposium and convention activities.
  • Attend the First-Time Attendee Orientation. Join other first-timers for a special introduction to the AOC and this year’s event on Monday, November 26 at 5:15pm in Room 156 of the Walter E. Washington Convention Center. Immediately after orientation depart with your new friends via foot or shuttle to the Welcome Reception at Lucky Strike.
  • Keep an eye out for the Show Daily. Every day of the symposium and convention, the AOC sends out an email giving you a recap of the day's events, sessions, and activities as well as a preview of what's to come and special messages from speakers and AOC leadership.
  • Are you a Young Crow (35 or younger)?  If you are and you would like to connect with other Young Crows during the event, email events@crows.org to be added to a special networking group.
  • Recommended Attire. Business casual is acceptable for attendees in sessions and on the Exhibit Hall floor. If you have registered as a Military attendee and have received a complimentary registration, you are required to wear your duty-uniform at all times. If you choose to purchase a ticket and attend the AOC banquet, be sure to pack some cocktail attire!
