Field Based Risk Reduction

Presenter: Dr. Richard H. Wittstruck
Associate Director, Field Based Experimentation & Integration

This presentation will discuss the revitalization of C4ISR/CEMA field experimentation and integration to the acquisition and operations communities. Fifteen years of war has led to a streamlined process that brought emerging technologies from the laboratory environment directly to operations theaters with scant characterization and field experimentation. While necessary to meet urgent wartime operations needs, a post conflict transition period now demands rigorous, disciplined and operations relevant field experimentation and integration to ensure Army, joint and coalition capability maturity & interoperability in a limited resources environment.
