wall: The Association of Old Crows, Taipei Chapter recently held the "2019 Annual Conference".
Taipei Chapter has been established for more than 40 years. This year, in line with the "Defense Industry Regulations" policy, Taipei Chapter will be expanded to provide a platform for tactical exchange and technical discussion between the military, R&D units and manufacturers to enhance Taiwan's defense industrial development in the fields of electronic warfare and cyber warfare. Recently, the "2019 Annual Conference" was held at the National Chung-Shan Institute of Science & Technology (NCSIST), Taiwan, R.O.C. to showcase the state-of-the-art electronic warfare/cyber warfare equipment and invite experts to give special lectures and seminars. The conference was chaired by Dr. Ko, Ping-Ya (The President of Taipei Chapter/ The Vice President of the NCSIST). And invited the Vice Minister of the Ministry of National Defense Lee, Ting-Sheng, the Director of the Department of Regulations Xie, Jun-Shan and the Commander of the Army Training Center Ye, Rui-Jia, and the Ministry of National Defense, the relevant units of the three armed forces, the National Defense University and the individual member. More than 200 people attended the "2019 Annual Conference".
In the field of information communication and electronics, although Taiwan has the first-class human resources and the high-end R&D technology, it still needs to continuously improve the full-time skills of the power warfare manpower. It is also necessary to integrate the military and civilian innovative thinking, and strengthen system integration in the combination of Government-Industry-University-Institute, to enhance the asymmetrical warfare. Recently, the United States and the China (P.R.C.) are competing for the development of 5G technology. Considering the rapid development of global electronic communication and network, the multiple threats and impacts generated by means of communication, radar, and the Internet have brought significant impact on electronic warfare/cyber warfare equipment and tactical warfare.
The theme of the conference was "Modernized Electromagnetic Spectrum Operation", which was jointly conducted by the NCSIST Information & Communication Research Division, the German PLATH Company, the U&U Engineering Inc., the British MASS Company, the ZYFX Technologies Inc., and the Israel CYBERGYM Company, had given special lectures and seminars, as follows: "Cognitive Electronic Warfare", "Automatic Interception of SOI – get more results with less operators", "The Necessity of Realizing Dynamic Spectrum Management and Its Results", "Practical Application of Electromagnetic Parameter Preparation and Verification", "Electronic Warfare Operational Support Services and Solutions" and "Cyber Warfare System".
In addition, it also demonstrated new electronic warfare/cyber warfare of domestic companies, as follows: the United States, Britain, Germany and Israel, the NCSIST Information & Communication Research Division, the NCSIST Electronic Systems Research Division, the NCSIST Materials and Electro-Optics Research Division, the MiTAC Information Technology Corp., SystemCom.Co.,LTD., the U&U Engineering Inc., the ZYFX Technologies Incorporation. The state-of-the-art equipment and applications, including the heavy-payload multi-axis tethered drone system, the phase interferometer electronic detection system, artificial intelligence applied to brain wave analysis device, the man-pack detection and direction-finding system, the photo-electric tracking system, the micro-small phase radar, the radar target simulator, the network threat intelligence platform, the cyber-attack and cyber-defense range, and electronic warfare training simulation system. By the way, dynamic demonstrated the interference gun counter-attack against drone in the outdoor. The variety of products and contents, made the participants feel enthusiasm and satisfaction about the exhibition.
