Mile High Country Crows:  Advances in Synthetic Aperture Radar

Join the Mile High Crows and IEEE AESS for appetizers/dinner and a presentation on advances in Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR). Mr. Richard Carande, President and CEO of Neva Ridge Technologies, will provide the foundation for understanding how SAR images are created and applications. Topics to be included are interferometry, change detection, polarimetry and 3D point clouds. Applications range from scientific, civil and military.

Mr. Carande is President and CEO of Neva Ridge Technologies, Incorporated, and is a founding member of the company.  He has over 30 years' experience working in the area of Synthetic Aperture Radar with a diverse set of communities and customers including those within the scientific, commercial, defense and intelligence communities.  Prior to starting Neva Ridge in 2005, Mr. Carande held various technical and managerial positions with Vexcel Corporation in Boulder Colorado and the Jet Propulsion Laboratory in Pasadena California.  Mr. Carande is a Physics graduate from Case Western Reserve University.


With over 13,000 members internationally, the Association of Old Crows is an organization for individuals who have common interests in Electronic Warfare (EW), Electromagnetic Spectrum Management Operations, Cyber Electromagnetic Activities (CEMA), Information Operations (IO), and other information related capabilities.
