DAHLGREN CHAPTER MISSION STATEMENT

The Dahlgren Chapter of the International Association of Old Crows (AOC) is a professional organization established to help advance progress in the fields of electronic warfare (EW), information operations (IO), and the electromagnetic spectrum (EMS).  The chapter strives to connect individuals who work in these fields for professional networking, which results in the exchange of ideas and information across this technical community.  Chapter members represent a broad spectrum of the technical community working in these fields, and includes individuals from industry, defense professionals, students, and military veterans.

DAHLGREN CHAPTER BACKGROUND AND SCOPE

The Dahlgren chapter gets its name from the Naval Surface Warfare Center in Dahlgren, VA (NSWCDD).  NSWCDD is centrally located along the West side of the Potomac River, so the Dahlgren chapter spans an area containing a very diverse population of members.  While the majority of our members are involved in maritime and expeditionary related activities, we recognize this profession reaches into all areas of EW/IO/EMS and related operations across the DoD and other government agencies in our area.  We actively engage with scientific, engineering, management and operational activities to improve a broader understanding of the profession and its contributions to the defense of our nation.

DAHLGREN CHAPTER ACTIVITIES

The chapter meets quarterly to host a guest speaker and provide our members the opportunity to connect and discuss related technology topics of interest.  This active group of EW engineers and system integration professionals is growing in the Northern Virginia Region and now includes an annual national level conference as a focusing function to further develop its relationships with industry, government and academia.
