Ken Miller rejoined the Association of Old Crows (AOC) as the Director of Advocacy and Outreach in July 2017. He is responsible for coordinating advocacy activities and building collaborative opportunities across government, industry, academia, and the military. Prior to the AOC, he was the cofounder and principal of KMS Strategies, LLC, a government relations consulting company created in July 2010 and dedicated to helping clients achieve strategic public policy and advocacy goals. Before founding KMS, Ken was Director of Government and Industry Affairs for the AOC from June 2005 - July 2010.
Previously, Mr. Miller worked on the congressional staff for Representative Joseph R. Pitts (PA-16) from January 1997 to July 2005, where he served as Legislative Director (2003-2005). During his service with Representative Pitts, he was responsible for national defense, international relations, energy, health, transportation and technology portfolios; and managed Congressman Pitts’ Armed Services, International Relations, and Energy and Commerce Committee assignments. He also started and was the lead staffer for the Congressional Electronic Warfare (EW) Working Group in 1999.
Mr. Miller began his career as a research assistant for the Commonwealth Foundation for Public Policy Alternatives, a research foundation dedicated to budget and economic policies of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. He holds a Master of Public Policy degree from George Mason University School of Public Policy. He also graduated from Messiah College, Grantham, PA, in 1996 with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Political Science.
