Linda Palmer has been a member of the Fort Worth, Lafayette, and Capitol Club chapters, and is now in the newly reactivated Rebel Roost. Linda joined COLSA Corporation in Huntsville, Alabama, to build an integration testbed for communications and sensor payloads on High-Altitude platforms for the Army’s Space and Missile Defense Command in Huntsville. She lives in Athens, Alabama.

She retired from the United States Air Force on June 1, 2006. Her final military assignment was Assistant Deputy for Test at the Missile Defense Agency in Washington, DC. From 1999 to 2003, she managed the Foreign Comparative Testing program and set up the Defense Acquisition Challenge program for the Office of the Secretary of Defense. She commanded the Air Force Electronic Warfare Evaluation Simulator from 1994 to 1997 and the Real-time Electromagnetic Digitally Controlled Analyzer and Processor from 1996 to 1997. She also served as the USAF Research & Development Liaison Office in Paris and as a project engineer in the areas of Space Defense and Air-to-Air Weapons Evaluation and taught Astronautical Engineering at the Air Force Academy.
