Gerry is the Manager of the EW line of business within BAE Systems Australia. His responsibilities include the management of a number of EW programs, the provision of EW capability to other Australian business units and the administration of a range of research and technology programs focused on the future needs of the Australian Defence Force.

Gerry graduated from the South Australian Institute of Technology with an Electronics Engineering degree in 1978 at the age of 20. Immediately following graduation, he traveled to the UK where he spent four years working for Marconi Avionics in Rochester, before returning to Australia. Following short careers with Hawker De Havilland as an Avionics Engineer and Philips Electronic Systems as a Communications Engineer, Gerry joined BAE Systems (then Thorn EMI) in 1983.

It wasn’t long after joining Thorn EMI before he was lured to join the company’s newly formed EW group in 1987. Gerry has remained with the EW group since its early inception and the company’s transition form Thorn EMI to BAE Systems Australia. After holding several engineering and program management positions within the EW Group, both in Australia and overseas, Gerry was promoted to Line of Business Manager in 2005.
