ASE IPP

IPP-ASE

The US military services and NATO have made major improvements and upgrades to the self-protection systems (SPS) and aircraft survivability equipment (ASE) protecting fixed wing and rotary wing fleets.  Each military service recognizes, however, that there is still room for progress, particularly in providing for a more fully-integrated system capability addressing multiple threat types, compiling and clearly presenting comprehensive threat information for flight crews, and providing assured and effective automated responses to immediate threats.  Furthermore, as the US and Allied forces field advanced SPS/ASE systems that can handle the full multitude of threats, both existing and emerging, they must integrate them on a wide range of platforms of varying ages and maintain reliable interoperability with coalition forces.  The SPS/ASE IPP will address ASE Suite Integration, multi-function ASE, Cockpit ASE Fusion, Collaborative ASE concepts and IR/RF Signature Management.
