2010 Policy AgendaControl of the electromagnetic spectrum (EMS) is critical to the success in all warfighting domains – land, sea, air, space, and cyberspace. Electronic warfare (EW) supports maneuver, operational fires, deception, and delivery of decisive effect by providing a fully-integrated attack, defense, sensing, and control capability across all services. The AOC urges the Department of Defense (DOD), Congress, and related federal agencies to organize, train, and equip warfighters by (1) ensuring the national spectrum inventory and reallocation policy reflects military requirements for EMS operations management and control; (2) investing in next generation joint electronic warfare capabilities; (3) establishing a comprehensive EW strategy; and (4) maintaining the electronic warfare industrial base. ForumEffective advocacy relies on the voice of a strong and active membership. The AOC Forum provides members the opportunity to engage old crows around the world, share thoughts and timely information, and discuss issues of concern to the community. |
The AOC believes that operations through and within the electromagnetic spectrum critically enable a U.S. National Security Strategy shaped to meet the challenges of the Information Age. Awareness of and investment in EW and related capabilities critical to spectrum control must be elevated to the highest levels of the government and military.
The AOC believes it is necessary to engage, educate, and coordinate with the military, government, industry, academia, and defense media, and to mobilize its regular and corporate members in support of policies and programs commensurate with this mission. The Advocacy program seeks to establish AOC as a relevant and credible resource for information, analysis, and opinion on defense policy development.
