Mr. Wes Heidenreich

Wes started his career in Electronic Warfare (EW) in 1972 via a series of assignments within the US Air Force. First as an operational F-4C Wild Weasel Electronic Warfare Officer, and later flying the F-4G Advanced Wild Weasel aircraft, he gained a great appreciation for the capabilities and limitations of EW systems employed by US combat forces.

Wes served in several assignments involving EW tactics and training development, system acquisition and modification, developmental and operational test and evaluation, and logistics and sustainment. His levels of responsibility evolved from those of an operational aircrew member, through tours as a test director, staff officer, and program manager, culminating with assignment as Commander of the USAF EW Product Group. His active duty military career involved close coordination with Army, Navy, Marine Corps, and Office of the Secretary of Defense personnel for several joint acquisition programs, combined deployments, and multi-service test and training exercises.

Following 30 years of active duty service, Wes joined industry as a Senior Test and Evaluation (T&E) Analyst. In this capacity, he continued to serve the Department of Defense Information Warfare and EW communities by providing direct support to programs at the Warner Robins Air Logistics Center.

In 2003, Wes transitioned from T&E into program management and system support. He continues to enjoy a close association with government and industry personnel supporting acquisition, modification, and sustainment programs, and looks forward to the broadening Information Operations/Information Warfare (IO/IW) horizon that a wide array of rapidly maturing technologies promises for America's warfighters.

Wes first joined the AOC in 1974, has been active in several chapters, and served in capacities ranging from basic member through Chapter Advisor to President of one of the largest and most active chapters in the AOC. He'd like to play a larger role in ensuring the continued evolvement of the AOC as it renews itself and remains the premier IO, IW and EW professional organization in the world.
